Inclusion Criteria
Consecutive patients who had undergone oesophagectomy with oesophagogastric anastomosis for malignancy.
Exclusion Criteria
Patients were excluded if no pre-operative CT scan was available, or they had insufficient follow up to determine whether outcomes had occurred (i.e. those not discharged before 15th January 2018). Oesophagectomies for benign disease or open and close procedures due to irressectable or metastatic disease were also excluded.
