1) Adult patients scheduled for elective craniotomy for supratentorial tumors under
general anaesthesia with tumor volume <200ml, where mannitol is being used
routinely.
2) Patients above the age of 18 years and below 65 years.
3) ASA I to ASA III patients.
1) Patients with deep seated and skull base tumors.
2) Patients with tumor volume >200ml.
3) Patients with CKD or those undergoing renal replacement therapy.
4) Patients with Chronic liver disease.
5) Patients receiving diuretic therapy preoperatively.
6) Pre-existing dyselectrolytemia.
7) Massive intraoperative blood loss.
8) If the patient requires hyperventilation to paCO2 <30 mm Hg.
