- •3. Patients scheduled for elective laparoscopic bariatric surgery

- •1. Patient refusal
- •2. ASA III, IV
- •3. Known allergy to propofol
- •4. Impaired cardiopulmonary, hepatic, renal function
- •5. History of chronic inflammation or treatment with immunosuppressants
- •6. Malignancy
- •7. Active smoking
- •8. Obstructive or restrictive lung disease
- •9. Alcohol dependent currently
- •10. Pre-existing coagulation disorders
- •11. Active or resolving pulmonary or systemic infection
