Patients belonging to American Society of Anesthesiologists(ASA) physical status class l or ll having modified mallampati class 1 or 2, undergoing surgery under general anaesthesia with tracheal intubation requiring nasogastric tube insertion.
Patient with base of skull fracture, maxillofacial or cervical spine injury. Deformities of pharynx or larynx, oesophageal pathology, neck abnormalities, nasal mass and deviated nasal septum. Coagulopathies or on anticoagulant medication. History of head and neck radiotherapy and obese patient with BMI > 30kg/m2
