Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •2\. Patients with a diagnosis of severe aortic valve stenosis and elective planned TAVI surgery
- •3\. COVID\-19 not an exclusion criterion, but no specific inclusion criterion
- •4\. Patients agree to be informed of a finding requiring treatment.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Pregnant women
- •2\. Patients with mainly trauma and/or fractures of the cervical spine; Neck injuries; wounds and/or impaired wound healing and/or inflammation in the neck area; neck surgery in the last 30 days; Contraindication to head rotation.
- •3\. Presence and location of large vessel occlusion (from CT angiography findings)
- •4\. Patients for whom a delay in routine further treatment is foreseeable due to the duplex sonographic examination
- •5\. Lack of consent and/or lack of ability to consent by the patient
