Inclusion Criteria
Postoperative elderly patients over 60 years admitted to ICU
Both male and female gender Post operative after any major non-cardiac surgery
Exclusion Criteria
Mechanically ventilated patients
Hemodynamically unstable patients
Patients requiring deep sedation
Patients with Hyponatremia Serum Sodium less than 130 meq per litre)
Metabolic encephalopathy - Hepatic encephalopathy.
Patients with pre-existing diagnosed dementia
Patients on regular psychiatric medications
Traumatic brain injury
History of acute alcohol intake / intoxication
History of poor irreversible neurological status at the time of admission
