1) Patients in whom Total Knee Replacement is done under general anaesthesia who
consents for the study and follow up.
2) Age group 40 to 80
1) History of allergy to the medications used in the study
2) Abnormal renal or liver function tests
3) Patients with stress fractures
4) Patients with intra-operative fractures
5) Previous history of steroid injection into the knee joint
6) Patients undergoing revision surgery
7) Patients undergoing anaesthesia other than general anaesthesia
8) Patients taking any medication for psychiatric illness will be excluded
