Inclusion Criteria

  • Suffering from intestinal perforation peritonitis scheduled for emergency laparotomy under general anaesthesia.

Exclusion Criteria

  • History of immunosuppression, chronic illness, recent exposure to mechanical ventilation, postoperative mechanical ventilation requirement.
