Inclusion Criteria
Participants were eligible for inclusion in the GendAge cohort, if they had taken part in the first-wave study (BASE II), belonged to the older age-group of BASE II (N=1600, mean age 68,2 ±3,7 years) and provided written informed consent. The BASE II is a classic convenience sample of 60 to 80 year olds (older age group, baseline), drawn from the Berlin metropolitan area.
