Inclusion Criteria

  • •.CHILD BETWEEN 6 AND 11 MONTHS 29 DAYS OF AGE.
  • •.CAJAMARCA CITY AND THE CAJAMARCA BATHS DISTRICT RESIDENTS AND THOSE COMMUNITIES CLOSE TO THE INCA BATHS CMI.
  • •.BORN AT TERM.
  • •.BIRTH WEIGHT ≥ 2500 g
  • •.HEMOGLOBIN\> 8 g / dL (CORRECTED FOR ALTITUDE)
  • •.WEIGHT / LENGTH\> 2 SD
  • •.ACCEPTANCE OF CHILD´S PARENTS AND SIGN THE STATEMENT OF INFORMED CONSENT.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •.UNDER 6 MONTHS OF AGE OR ≧ 12 MONTHS OF AGE.
  • •.CAJAMARCA NON\-RESIDENTS(PLACE OF INTERVENTION).
  • •.CHILDREN WITH LESS THAN 8 g / dL OF INITIAL HEMOGLOBIN (CORRECTED FOR ALTITUDE).EACH CHILD WILL BE EVALUATED BY A PHYSICIAN TO RULE OUT ANY ADDITIONAL PATHOLOGY AND RECEIVE TREATMENT ACCORDING TO STANDARDS OF THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH.
