- Brief Summary
This is a prospective observational study conducted in a tertiary care teaching hospital in pune among the patients who require oxygen support with age morethan 18 years. The primary outcome is to compare SpO2/ FiO2 with Pao2/Fio2 ratio and secondary outcome is to determine relation ship of S/F ratio in case of ARDS. This will be useful study in remote places where there is no availability of ABG machines. If the results are significant it will be helpful for population in remote places for assessing the severity and further plan of care.

All patients who needs oxygen support more than 18 years.
History of chronic lung disease, refractory shock, hypothermia, pregnant patients, carbon monoxide poisoning, methemoglobinaemia, hemoglobin less than 7 gm/dl.

Name Time Method To compare S/F ratio with P/F ratio At the time of admission when first arterial blood gas analysis done and second arterial blood gas analysis will be done if patient needing escalation of oxygen therapy or 24 hrs after admission.
