patients who have demonstrated, at a previous visit, a satisfactory pupil dilation ( >6mm) with topical mydriatic therapy.
All patients aged 40 to 70 years with senile cataract undergoing uncomplicated phacoemulsification surgery and willing to give written and informed consent for the study.
Uncomplicated Cataract

Corneal pathology
Pupillary disorders
Retinal pathology
Increased intraocular pressure
p/h/o Psychiatric illness
uncontrolled Hypertension
h/o hypersensitivity to amide group of drugs
h/o ocular surgery
Pregnant patients
All the surgeries will be carried out under Stand by Anesthetic patients turning uncooperative will be given sedation and excluded from the study
