- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The study investigates the relationship between time comprehension and the ability to delay the gratification of a desire.

Hypothesis: The better the time comprehension of children (ascertained by the Sanduhrtest, a test measuring time comprehension with three hourglasses: Bischof-Köhler, 2000) the better the delay of gratification (Delay of gratification: Mischel, 1972).
As the study is based on language comprehension, the SETK 3-5 (German language development test for 3-to 5-year-olds) will be conducted first.
A questionnaire - to be completed by the parents of the participating children- will measure the temper of the children (IKT, German test that gathers five features of a child's temper).

Primary Outcome: Ability to take a delayed gratification - in minutes and seconds. Comprehension of time - in scores (max. 14 points).
- Secondary Outcome Measures
