To compare effectiveness of two drugs dexmedetomidine and lignocaine ,given with nebuliser in decreasing haemodynamic response to laryngoscopy and intubation done during general anaesthesia.

Inclusion Criteria
ASA grade I and II
MPS grade I and II
Patients undergoing various elective surgeries under general anaesthesia.
Exclusion Criteria
1. BMI >30 kg /m2.
2. Allergies to lignocaine/dexmedetomidine.
3. Patients with heart block.
4. Patients with bradycardia (HR <50 bpm).
5. Hypotension (BP <90/40).
6. Patient with any cardiac disease.
7. Patient with a difficult airway.
8. Patient refusing consent.
9. Patient on beta blockers.
