Inclusion Criteria

1.American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I or II

2.Age of 1 to 5 years

3.Either gender

4.Estimated operation time of <= 3 hours and anaesthesia time of <= 4 hours

5.Written informed consent of parents to undergo the therapeutic regimen

Exclusion Criteria

1.Renal dysfunction (serum creatinine > 1.2mg/dl)

2.Liver dysfunction (liver enzymes twice the normal range or higher)

3.Allergy to study medication

4.Participants parents devoid of postoperative telephone access

Anaesthesia time (from anesthesia induction to extubation); and operative time (from skin incision to the end of suturing) will be noted <br/ ><br>5.
