inclusion criteria were CAPD patient with dialysis before enrolled for at least three months, aged > 18 years, who were diagnosed vitamin D deficiency and insufficiency, defined by vitamin D insufficiency was of 20â€29 ng/mL and deficiency was less than 20 ng/mL.
Subjects with history of liver diseases, patients known to have hypocalcaemia, hypercalcaemia or hyperparathyroidism, pregnant and lactating women, and history of urinary tract stone were excluded from the study. Discontinuation criteria included unwillingness to continue study, intolerable side-effects or allergy.
