Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •First ever Stroke (ICD: I61, I63, I64\)
- •NIHSS acute \>0 Points
- •Frührehe\-Barthel\-Index \<30 points
- •Stroke onset 72 hours
Exclusion Criteria
- •Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAB), traumatic brain injury, hemorrhage into preformed cavities, other brain pathology significantly affecting prognosis (e.g., tumor, metastases).
- •Other disease determining the prognosis (e.g., acute myocardial infarction, endocarditis, cancer, multiple sclerosis)
- •Barthel index 30 points or above (thus not suitable for phase B)
- •Planned surgical procedures in the next 3 months
- •Cognitive impairment that makes informed consent impossible
- •Death as a result of the disease up to T1
- •Lack of patient compliance
- •Lack of informed consent from patient or relatives
