1. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I - II.
2. Males or females aged 18-60 years.
3. Scheduled to undergo elective surgery under general anaesthesia in supine position with neutral position of neck
1. Patient with pre operative sore throat or upper respiratory tract infection.
2. Patients with history of cardiac, liver or renal disorders.
3. Patient with duration of laryngoscopy > 15 seconds.
4. Patients already taking systemic corticosteroids or furosemide.
5. Known allergy to the test medications
