adult patients (aged between 18 & 65 years) of either sex and American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I or II undergoing any elective surgery under general anaesthesia requiring invasive arterial blood pressure monitoring will be recruited in this prospective observational study.
1.Refusal to participate in the study
2.ASA PS III- IV
3.Massive blood loss during surgery (more than one blood volume lost).
4.Patients on high dose of vasopressor/ inotrope (defined by noradrenaline 20 mcg/min or equivalent)
