1 displayed adequate oral hygiene (good to fair).
2 mild to moderate gingival score.
3 willingness to adhere to the recommendation and instructions.
4 Refrain from eating or drinking prior to the examination.
5 28 teeth are at least present.
1 Lip, tongue, or other form of oral piercing.
2 Fixed or removable orthodontic appliances (such as bridges, braces, or dentures).
3 Any medical, dental, or psychiatric condition, abnormality, or history; or use of any product or drug that (per protocol or in the opinion of the investigator) may increase the risk to the subject associated with trial participation or use of the miswak; or interfere with the interpretation of trial results.
4 History of drugs or treatments that reduce salivary flow.
5 Recent or current antibiotic coverage.
