Inclusion Criteria

Patients with arteriovenous malformations and indication for sclerotherapy
- Arteriovenous malformation can occur in a variety of ways anywhere on the body, but for our study only those vascular malformations are accessible that are located on the outside of the body and have a sufficient area for sonographic examination (about 5x5cm).

Exclusion Criteria

- Patients with arteriovenous malformations that are difficult accessible for an ultrasound examination ( for example oral AVM)
- AVM-Patients without medical indication for sclerotherapy
- Missing informed consent

Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
- visualisation and quantification of tissue stiffness in arteriovenous malformations, applying shear wave elastography at rest before and after sclerotherapy
- depiction of clinical symptoms characteristic patient features to better interpret the results
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
-detection of cut-off sizes for estimation of sclerotherapy success
