Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •For Study Participants:
  • •Anaesthesia residents with 6\-12 months of training
  • •For Patients undergoing surgery under general anaesthesia:
  • •1\. ASA I/II
  • •2\. 18\-60 years
  • •3\. Surgery requiring arterial cannulation in elective surgery

Exclusion Criteria

  • •For Study Participants:
  • •1\.Participant refusal
  • •2\.Residents who are already trained in radial artery cannulation
  • •3\.Residents who have done \>5 radial artery cannulations
  • •For Patients:
  • •1\.Patient refusal
  • •2\.Abnormal modified Allenââ?¬•s test
  • •3\.Peripheral vascular disease
  • •4\.SBP \<90 mm of Hg
  • •5\.BMI \>30 kg/cm2
