Inclusion Criteria
Consenting parents of children more than 28 days to 12 years of age admitted in PICU for atleast 24 hrs
Exclusion Criteria
Parents of children previously admitted in PICU/ward
Parents of children hospitalised in PICU/ward after surgery.
Parents with pre-existing psychological disorder or addiction
(e.g. alcoholism)
Parents of children who expired during PICU/ward
hospitalisation

Name Time Method This study is mainly aimed at to determine the adverse psychological impact of a childâ??s <br/ ><br>PICU admission on parents, whether or not it is associated with the severity of illness and <br/ ><br>does the extent of therapeutic interventions adds up to this parental stress, whether this stress <br/ ><br>has any association with the age, socioeconomic status and the education of parents. <br/ ><br>So this study would help in identifying the parental stressors associated with PICU admission <br/ ><br>and help in formulating policies to effectively deal with these stressorsTimepoint: 18 Months
