- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Ration of electrical (EMG) and mechanical (pressure/flow) signal of the respiratory muscles at the three following times of measurement:
• acute phase (within the first 48h after admission to a study-ICU)
• at the first reduction of sedation (Goal-RASS =-2)
• at the beginning of discontinuous Weaning (CPAP)
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method • Ratio of sEMG of the diaphragm and other respiratory muscles
• maximal inspiratory and exspiratory flow
• transpulmonary pressure
• airway occlusion pressure
• respiratory fatigue during assisted ventilation
• diaphragmatic thickness (ultrasound)
