Presence of HbSS
Painful crisis with pain score of 7 and above
Acute chest syndrome

Exclusion Criteria

Allergy to arginine
Hb concentration of 5g/dl and below
Presence of congenital and acquired heart diseases
Electrolyte derangement
Patients with kidney and liver diseases
