birth weight < 1500 gr
obtaining informed consent from parents
Exclusion Criteria
major congenital abnormality including known
chromosomal abnormality
twin-twin transfusion
intra-uterine transfusion or exchange transfusion
Rhesus iso-immunisation
significant multi-organ failure prior to trial entry
