Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Diagnosis of bipolar disorder currently in remission (no episodes in the past 3 months).
  • •First degree relatives:
  • •1\. Parent/ biological siblings/ offspring of patients with bipolar disorder.
  • •2\. No history of psychiatric illness or current diagnosis.
  • •Healthy Controls:
  • •1\. SRQ 20 score of below 6

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. No past history or current diagnosis of any other psychiatric condition excluding tobacco dependence syndrome.
  • •2\. No family or personal history of neurological conditions.
  • •First degree relatives:
  • •1\. No history of neurological conditions
  • •2\. SRQ 20 score of 6 and above
  • •Healthy controls:
  • •1\. No family or personal history of any neurological conditions or psychiatric conditions
  • •2\. SRQ 20 score of 6 and above
