Inclusion Criteria

Patients undergoing serum vitamin D levels in the hospital belonging to any gender in the age groupwith or without symptoms of dry eyes

Exclusion Criteria

1.Vitamin D therapy in the last 3 months

2.Known cases of dry eyes like sjogrens syndrome,rheumatoid arthritis,or other skin or connective tissue disorders

3.Systemic conditions:diabetes,thyroid disorders

4.Contact lens wearers,chronic ocular therapy for any condition

5.Smokers whose smoking load less than six cigarettes per day for atleast two year

6.Chronic or acute dacryocystitis/status post sac surgery

7.Chemical injuries to the eye in the past

8.Chronic conjunctivitis suggestive of infective or allergic etiology

9.Ocular surgery in the past (intraocular/extraocular)

10.Lid abnormalities like ptosis,blepharitis,lagophthalmos,ectropion,entropion,meibomian gland dysfunction

11.Antihistaminic therapy in the past 3 months

12.Pregnant/lactatingwomen/oral contraceptive use

13.Screen time more than 6 hours/day

1 Presence of symptomatic dry eye syndrome in patients with Vitamin -D deficiency and Vitamin D insufficiency <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>2 Presence of abnormal TBUT,Schirmers test and Ocular surface staining in patients with Vitamin D deficiency and Vitamin D insufficiency <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>Timepoint: Since it is a cross-sectional study,the primary outcome will be measured at baseline. <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>
