Inclusion Criteria
•Male and female subjects of >18 years of age
•Absence of systemic illness
•Subjects indicated for scaling and root planing under local anesthesia
Exclusion Criteria
•Subjects with known history of allergy to the local anesthetic agents used for the study.
•Subjects taking any medications which may influence the anesthetic assessment , such as analgesics, anti-inflammatory and sedative drugs.
•Pregnant & Lactating females
•Smokers
•Alcoholics
