Inclusion Criteria

1.Undergoing surgery under General Anaesthesia

2.Duration of Surgery <2 hours

Exclusion Criteria

1.Patient refusal

2.Anticipated difficult intubation

(Mallampati grade III / IV)

3.Emergency surgical procedures

4.Patients with any systemic disease

5.H/O allergy to any drugs

6.H/O steroid therapy within last 6 months

7.Surgery lasting > 2 hours

1)Hemodynamic parameters - Heart rate (HR), systolic (SBP), diastolic (DBP) and mean arterial pressure (MAP) <br/ ><br>2)ECG, SpO2 and EtCO2 will be continuously monitored <br/ ><br>3)Any side effects <br/ ><br>Timepoint: 1. Before induction (baseline) <br/ ><br>2. After induction (0 min) <br/ ><br>3. After intubation (5 min) <br/ ><br>4. Thereafter every 15 minutes till the end of the surgery. <br/ ><br>
