Patients-
1. In patients of either sex aged between 18-40 years
2. Those who fulfil the criteria for dissociative(conversion) disorders (F44) according to the
International classification of diseases 10th version (ICD-10)- Diagnostic criteria for research
(DCR) by World health organization (WHO,1992)
3. Right-handed patients
4. Education at least 7th standard.
5. Patients who were amenable for interview.
6. Patients or guardians giving written informed consent.
Healthy volunteers-
1. Age and sex matched healthy controls.
2. Right-handed subjects.
3. Education at least 7th standard.
4. Those who are amenable for interview.
5. Subjects or guardians giving written informed consent.
6. Fulfilling the general health questionnaire (score less than 3)
Patients-
1. Patients of either sex aged below 18 and those above 40 years.
2. Patients having comorbid general medical illness (requiring additional treatment).
3. Patients with comorbid substance dependence, except nicotine and caffeine.
4. Patients with neurological disorders or any other psychiatric illness.
5. Patients having abnormal electrical brain activities in qEEG.
6. Patients failing to fulfil the MRI feasibility checklist
7. Patients or guardians not willing to give written informed consent.
