Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
To characterise the physiological demands of a running competition in people with T1D
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
- Characterisation of glycemic variability as a reaction to a running competition
- Characterisation of different strategies of exogenous insulin- and carbohydrate administration to improve time in euglycemia around a running competition in individuals with type 1 diabetes
- To investigate how cardio-pulmonary parameters following a preparation for a running competition are changing in individuals with type 1 diabetes. In addition it will be investigated how this parameters are associated with running performance
- To investigate how the preparation for a running event affects glycemic control (HbA1c and frucotsamine) in individuals with type 1 diabetes
- To characterize the physiological demands/parameters in a running competition
