Inclusion Criteria
Patients belonging to American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I & II
Patients undergoing ventriculoperitoneal shunt surgery
Age group between 16 and 50 years
Hemodynamically stable
GCS>=13
Patients on phenytoin therapy>=7 days
Exclusion Criteria
History of hypertension, diabetes or other systemic illness
History of drug or alcohol abuse
History of chronic pain or daily intake of analgesics
History of intake of nonsteroidal anti-in�ammatory drugs within 24 h before surgery
