Adult patients who present at the pre-anesthesia assessment clinic due to a planned surgery or for whom a bedside consultation for a pre-anesthesia assessment has been scheduled by the department of anesthesiology. The indication for surgery and presentation at the pre-anesthesia assessment clinic is based on a medical indication related to an existing illness and is independent of the study.
- Signed informed consent.
- Clear understanding of the study information.
- Individuals who are dependent of or employed by any of the investigators.
- Inability to adhere to the study protocol.
- Inability to independently go through and answer the questionnaire.
- Individuals who work or have worked in the medical field or in a closely related area (e.g., hospital administration, medical law attorney, etc.), study a medical or medically related field (e.g., biomedicine), or undergo training in a medical field.
- Lack of written informed consent or lack of ability to consent.
- Individuals who are involuntarily placed in custodial accomodation due to a official order or court order.
