1.Patients agreeing to comply with study protocol and instructions
2.Subject should have at least 20 natural permanent teeth
3.Patient with dental biofilm induced gingivitis alone.
4.All subjects who are systemically healthy.
5.Subjects having Gingival index more than 1.
6.At baseline, all the subjects had to have a plaque index of greater than 2.
1.Smokers and tobacco chewer.
2.Patients on antibiotics one months prior to treatment.
3.Patients using orthodontic or prosthodontic appliances either fixed or removable
4.Patients who have used mouth rinse containing chemical agents in previous two months.
5.Patients allergic or sensitive to any medication or toothpaste.
6.History of any surgical procedure in the selected area in the past two months.
