Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •All obese patients above 18 years and with a BMI \= 30 kg/m2 undergoing hernia surgery
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. known history of allergy or anaphylaxis to cefotaxime or other betalactam antibiotics either proven or suspected
- •2\.Pregnancy
- •3\.preoperative therapy with antibiotics
- •4\.Refusing to consent to the study
- •5\.Serum creatinine level greater than 1\.3 mg/dl
