Inclusion Criteria
• Patient at least 18 years old
• Admitted to the haematology department in a private patient room equipped with
dynamic light as well as standard light
• Expected length of stay approximately 3 weeks with room arrest
• Patients requiring intensive chemotherapy, due to AML, ALL, Burkitt Lymphoma,
mantle cell lymphoma, and multiple myeloma
Exclusion Criteria
• Active depression, sleep disorder or delirium
• Visual handicapped due to ocular pathologies like macula degeneration, severe cataract or severe diabetic retinopathy
• Sleep apnoe syndrome
• Extreme light sensitivity

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method <p>The primary endpoint is the difference in duration of wakefulness during the<br /><br>time presumed sleeping between both groups.</p><br>
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method <p>Secondary endpoints are subjective quality of sleep, depression, delirium as<br /><br>diagnosed by a psychiatrist, clinical parameters (complications, blood<br /><br>pressure, heart rate, temperature, pain score), duration of hospitalization,<br /><br>and medication with special attention to benzodiazepines, antipsychotics,<br /><br>antidepressants, corticosteroids, and other medication with known psychiatric<br /><br>side effect (such as voriconazole).</p><br>
