Adult patients in the age between 18 and 65 years who scheduled for elective minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass grafting
1.Patient refusal.
2.Allergy to local anesthetics.
3.Localized infection.
4.Coagulopathy / Bleeding diathesis
5.Patients on anticoagulants
6.Left main coronary artery disease
7.Left Ventricular ejection fraction ( LVEF) <40%
8.Emergency surgery
9. Redo surgery
10. Reexploration within 24 hours
11.Pre-existing lung injury/disease/ pneumothorax
12.Spinal /chest wall deformities
13.Pre-existing rib fractures in the posterior /lateral aspect
14.Cognitive impairment or an active psychiatric condition.
15.Inability to understand pain scoring.
