Patients undergoing elective minimally invasive cardiac surgeries
1. Patient refusal.
2. Allergy to local anesthetics.
3. Localized infection.
4. Coagulopathy / Bleeding diathesis
5. Patients on anticoagulants
6. Pre-existing lung injury/disease/ pneumothorax
7. Spinal /chest wall deformities
8. Pre-existing rib fractures in the posterior /lateral aspect 9. Cognitive impairment or an active psychiatric condition. 10. Inability to understand pain scoring.
11. Emergency surgery
12 Redo surgery
13 Reexploration within 24 hours
