Inclusion Criteria
dorsally displaced distal radius fractures that fullfill Fontaines instability criteria
Exclusion Criteria
- dorsal shift of the shaft by more than 1/3 of the width of the radius shaft
- Patients with sensibiliity disorder
- Patients with previous radius fractures
- Patients who received a treatment elsewhere before
- Patients with multiple sites' injuries
- Patients who are not able to understand the procedure e.g. supervised or mentally retarded persons
