Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\.Patients with biopsy proven rectal carcinoma stages II \& III receiving either short\-course or long\-course of radiotherapy will be included in this study.
- •2\.Patients with ECOG performance status 0 to 3\.
- •3\.Absolute granulocyte count more than 2000/mm3\.
- •4\.Platelet count greater than 100,000/mm3\.
- •5\.Renal function tests and Liver function tests are within normal limits.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\.Patients with metastatic disease on diagnostic imaging during the course of study.
- •2\.Patients with previous history of radiotherapy\& treatment for GIT malignancy \& history of chemotherapy.
- •3\.Patients with history of treatment for any malignancy.
- •4\.Associated serious medical illness like xerodermapigmentosa, renal failure, cardiac failure, hepatic failure.
- •5\.Not giving consent.
