•1.18-75 years of age
•2.Either sex
•3.Pain at angle of mandible, facial, pre or post auricular area, anterior neck, pain in throat (cervical spine syndrome) for more than 3 months inspite of medical management of chronic pain with incidental degenerative changes in cervical spine .
•4.Patients willing for the SCPB block or sham.

•1.Patient with red flag conditions, such as malignancy, infection, metabolic phenomena, severe trauma and associated symptoms such as recent onset, fever, weight loss, and night sweats.
•2.Sensory and motor weakness
•3.Coagulopathy
•4.Infections at procedural site
•5.Difficulty in breathing due to involvement of diaphragm.
•6.Severe systemic disease.
•7.Un-cooperative patient
