1.Patients undergoing elective thoracic surgery which require the left sided double lumen endotracheal tube placement.
2.age 18 to 75 years
3.American Society of Anesthesiologists class I to III
4.Provide a written inform consent
1.Tracheobronchial abnormalities
2.Left main bronchus pathology
3.Cervical spine disease
4.Oropharyngeal obstruction disease
5.Patients who required rapid sequence intubation
- Patients with difficult intubation including
- Pregnancy
- Body mass index (BMI) more than 35 kg/m2
- Mallampati classification 3 or 4
- loose teeth
- Inter-incisor distance < 3.0 cm
- Thyromental distance < 6.0 cm
- Neck range of motion < 90 degree
- History of difficult intubation
