To study the effectiveness of bupivacaine and ropivacaine instilled intraperitoneally in laparoscopic cholecystectomy cases, and to assess the need of rescue analgesia post operatively in both the groups.

Inclusion Criteria
  • Weighing between 50-70kg.
  • ASA 1 and 2 physical status.
Exclusion Criteria
  • Local anaesthetic hypersensitivity.
  • Allergy to drugs used.
  • Emergency laparoscopies.
  • Regular use of NSAIDs and analgesics.
  • Uncontrolled systemic disorders.
  • Acute cholecystitis patients.
  • Pregnant and lactating females.
