Inclusion Criteria

(a)All pediatric patients (age more than or equal years and less than or equal 12 years) undergoing lower abdominal surgery between 01 Jan 2023 to 31 Dec 2024 in a 1082-bedded tertiary care teaching hospital.

(b)American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Physical Status Class I and II patients

(c)Every consenting pediatric patient receiving General Anesthesia plus Transverse Abdominis or Quadratus Lumborum Plane Block.

Exclusion Criteria

(a)Pediatric patients with infection at the injection site

(b)Pediatric patients with allergy to local anaesthetics

(c)Pediatric patients with coagulation disorders, severe obesity (BMI more than 40), and physical or mental diseases which could interfere with the evaluation of pain scores.

(d)Pediatric patients with kidney failure or liver failure.

(e)Pediatric patients with sepsis and chronic pain disorders that necessitate the intake of opioids at home.

(f)Pediatric patients with any substantial neurological, cardiovascular, malignancy or breathing disorder.
