Inclusion Criteria
1.Patients with type 2 Diabetes mellitus with HbA1C greater than 6.5
2.Presence of at least 20 teeth
3.Probing pocket depth greater than 4mm
4.Clinical attachment loss greater than 2mm
Exclusion Criteria
1.Pregnant and lactating women.
2.Patients who have undergone periodontal treatment in the last 3 months.
3.Smokers & Alcoholics.
4.Patients with any oromucosal abnormality and infection
5.Patients undergoing orthodontic treatment
6.Patients with rheumatoid arthritis, COPD, renal or liver disease, malignancy or bleeding diathesis
