Inclusion Criteria
All consecutive male and female patients of acne vulgaris ( grade 2 and above) involving the face who have not received any treatment in the past 4 weeks
Patients between 16-50 years
Exclusion Criteria
Pregnant females , females planning pregnancy within the next 9 months , breastfeeding females
immunosuppressed individuals
known hypersensitivity to synthetic , natural vitamin A
any systemic illness lasting more than 3 weeks
deranged liver function tests and lipid profile
reproductive age group females not willing to practice methods of contraception as advised
