Inclusion Criteria
Foster parents with at least one foster child in the age of 2 up to 11 years with emotional and/or behavioral issues
Exclusion Criteria
known intelligence deficit (IQ <70); foster parent with insufficient proficiency in the German language; child currently undergoing psychotherapy or regular family counselling

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Behavioural problems of the foster child (measure: Carer-Defined Problems Scale). This variable is measured before (T1) and after the training (T2) as well as three months after the end of the training (T3).
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Quality of attachment relationship between foster parent and foster child (measuring instrumenst: Quality of Attachment Relationship Questionnaire and Child Relationship Behavior Inventory); perceived stress of foster parent (Parental Stress Scale); psychopathology of foster child (Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire); parenting style of foster parent (Parenting Scale). These variables are measured before (T1) and after the training (T2) as well as three months after the end of the training (T3).<br><br>In addition, qualitative group interviews with foster parents with a focus on the setting and effectiveness of the training will be performed two months after the end of each training course.
