Effect of health education intervention of safe patient handling on musculoskeletal disorder among nurses of government elderly care home nurses in West Coast Malaysia

The GEE analysis had shown that, the participants who were receiving safe patient handling intervention had 3.6 more likely to have no MSD as compared to control groups. There was increase of 2 score of knowledge of safe patient handling, increased of safe patient handling practice by 4.9 score and decreased in perceived barrier by 2.7 score at 6 month post intervention. However there was no significant difference between intervention and control groups in term of knowledge and other HBM constructs on perceived susceptibility, severity, benefit and cues of action after the intervention.
