Inclusion Criteria
All of the following surgical procedures performed via full sternotomy:
- coronary artery bypass graft [CABG]
- combination procedures (valve reconstruction/ replacement + CABG)
- replacement of the ascending aorta
- type A aortic dissection (Stanford classification)
Exclusion Criteria
- mitral valve replacement or reconstruction
- off pump coronary artery bypass graft
- other valve procedures, that do not fall under the above
mentioned surgical procedures
